The Lamborghini Temerario has arrived to shake up the supercar world with a screaming twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, mid-engine drama, and a design language that leaves nothing to the imagination. Here is everything UAE buyers need to know about Sant'Agata's boldest move yet.
Few automotive announcements land with quite the force of a new Lamborghini. When the Italian marque unveiled the Temerario as the spiritual successor to the legendary Huracán, enthusiasts across the globe - and especially across the UAE - paid close attention. The Temerario is not simply a replacement; it is a statement of intent. It pairs a brand-new twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a sophisticated hybrid system, wraps it all in a body that looks like it was carved by a desert sandstorm, and promises a driving experience that will redefine what buyers in this region expect from a mid-engine supercar.
The Temerario - Italian for "reckless" or "daring" - occupies the entry point of Lamborghini's two-model lineup alongside the Revuelto. Where the Revuelto is the thunderous V12 flagship, the Temerario is the precision instrument: lighter, more agile, and engineered for drivers who want a car that responds like an extension of their nervous system. Lamborghini developed the Temerario on an entirely new platform shared with the Revuelto but tuned specifically for the smaller car's dimensions and character. The result is a machine that is technically fresh from the ground up, not a carry-over evolution.
The headline act is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine - a first for Lamborghini in a road-going production model. This is not simply a downsized V10; it is a purpose-built unit developed entirely in-house, revving all the way to a quoted 10,000 rpm, which is virtually unheard of for a turbocharged engine of this configuration. Working alongside that combustion engine are three electric motors - two on the front axle and one integrated within the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox at the rear. The combined system output sits in the region of 920 horsepower, placing the Temerario firmly in hypercar territory despite its "entry-level" badge within the Lamborghini family. Key performance highlights include:
If the powertrain is the Temerario's brain, the bodywork is its personality. Lamborghini's Centro Stile design centre has produced a shape that reads as both purposeful and theatrical - two qualities that resonate deeply with the UAE luxury-car culture.
The Temerario's body features a dramatically low nose, active aerodynamic surfaces, and an integrated rear diffuser that frames a central-exit exhaust layout. Large air intakes feed cooling air to the mid-mounted engine, while the overall profile is lower and wider than the Huracán it replaces. Notable design details include: - A Y-shaped lighting signature at both ends that references Lamborghini's evolving visual identity - Active rear spoiler that adjusts automatically based on speed and driving mode - Flush door handles and smooth panel transitions that reduce aerodynamic drag - A transparent engine cover allowing a direct view of the twin-turbo V8 Colour choices available through the Ad Personam personalisation programme are, as one would expect from Lamborghini, almost limitless. Matte finishes, satin wraps, and two-tone combinations are all on the table for buyers looking to stand out - even in a city like Dubai where extraordinary cars are part of the daily scenery.
Inside, the Temerario introduces a new cockpit philosophy that Lamborghini calls "driver-centric." The driver's display is angled slightly inward, and the steering wheel houses key driving mode controls so the driver never needs to reach for a touchscreen mid-corner. The centre console integrates a portrait-oriented infotainment display running Lamborghini's latest software, offering navigation, media, and vehicle telemetry readouts. Rear-view cameras replace traditional mirrors as an option, keeping the glasshouse clean and reducing blind spots in the process. Material choices span Alcantara, full leather, and carbon fibre as standard across multiple trims, with Ad Personam clients able to specify virtually any combination imaginable.
The UAE's road network offers a genuinely diverse test for a car like the Temerario. Wide, well-maintained highways between Abu Dhabi and Dubai are ideal for exploiting high-speed stability, while the mountain roads of Ras Al Khaimah and the Hatta region provide the kind of tight, technical corners that highlight the electric torque vectoring system's brilliance.
The Temerario offers multiple selectable driving modes:
UAE buyers know better than most that extreme heat is a real variable in supercar ownership. Lamborghini has engineered the Temerario's thermal management systems to cope with ambient temperatures well above 40 degrees Celsius, using dedicated cooling circuits for both the combustion engine and the battery pack. The hybrid system's battery is actively cooled, ensuring performance is not compromised during a summer drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.
The Temerario enters a fiercely competitive segment in the UAE.
Rivals include the Ferrari 296 GTB - available through Ferrari's UAE dealer network - and the Porsche 911 Turbo S for buyers who prioritise daily usability alongside performance. Within the Lamborghini range itself, the Temerario sits below the Revuelto, making it the more accessible path into the Sant'Agata ecosystem. For buyers browsing the premium end of the UAE market, where Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche all compete for attention, the Temerario makes a compelling case: it delivers genuine hypercar performance in a package that is still manageable on public roads, and it arrives with the kind of visual impact that commands attention even in the world's most car-saturated luxury market.
Lamborghini's official UAE dealership network is the recommended first port of call for new Temerario orders. Expect waiting lists given the demand, and be prepared to engage with the Ad Personam customisation process early - popular configurations tend to be committed well in advance of production slots.
For buyers looking at pre-owned examples, Carzle offers access to dealer-verified listings from vetted premium dealerships across the UAE, ensuring that any Lamborghini you consider has passed through a professional assessment process. This is particularly important with hybrid supercars, where battery health and software updates are as critical as bodywork condition.
Beyond the purchase price - which sits in a range consistent with global hypercar positioning - UAE buyers should factor in:
The Lamborghini Temerario represents one of the most significant engineering leaps the Italian brand has made in decades. By abandoning the naturally aspirated V10 that defined the Huracán era and committing fully to a twin-turbo hybrid architecture, Lamborghini has demonstrated that it is not interested in standing still. For UAE buyers, the Temerario ticks every box that matters: breathtaking performance, a design that demands attention, modern hybrid technology that copes with extreme heat, and the reassurance of a global brand with a strong local dealer presence. Whether you are a first-time Lamborghini buyer stepping up from a Porsche or a Ferrari, or a returning customer looking to add the latest Sant'Agata creation to your collection, the Temerario deserves serious consideration. It is reckless and daring by name - and it more than lives up to both.
